The Caprivi Strip

The Caprivi Strip Is The “Panhandle” Of Namibia, Bordered By Angola And Zambia To The North And Botswana On The South.Much Of The Wildlife In This Region Has Been Poached, Especially During The Conflict With Angola. However, Wildlife Populations Are Increasing, And The Caprivi Is Well Worth A Visit For Anyone Looking For A Wilderness Experience First, With Wildlife As A Bonus. A Real Plus Of This Region Is That One Seldom Meets Other Tourists.

Unlike The Parks In “Mainland” Namibia, Reserves In The Caprivi (Mudumu, Mamili And Caprivi) Allow Walking And Game Viewing In Open Vehicles. Mudumu National Park And Mamili National Park Are Similar To Botswana’s Okavango Delta.
