There Are Hiking Trails From Sans Souci Road To Copolia (1630 Ft./497 M), Morne Blanc (2188 Ft/667 M) And Trois Freres (2293 Ft./699 M). Birdlife Includes The Blue Pigeon, Seychelles Bulbul, Seychelles Kestrel, Cave Swiftlet, Sunbird And Seychelles White-Eye. Flora In The Park Includes Five Different Species Of Palm Trees, The Vanilla Orchid (Vanilla Phalaenopsis), The Extremely Rare Jellyfish Tree (Medusagyne Oppositifolia) And Bwa-D-Fer (Valeria Seychellarum).

Khutse Game Reserve The Khutse Game Reserve shares its northern boundary with the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and is the closest reserve to Gaborone. Khutse covers 965 square miles (2500 km2) of gently rolling savannah and pans (over 50), and is best known for its birdlife. Lion, leopard, cheetah, and antelope adapted to an arid environment are present. However, wildlife is seasonal, de¬pending on the rains. If there has been little rain, then game is usually scarce. The best time to visit is after the rainy season has begun, usually December-April. Khutse is a five-hour drive (136 miles/220 km) from Gaborone via Molepolole.

Linyanti Swamps The Linyanti Swamps, situated northeast of the Oka¬vango Delta and northwest of the Savuti, are predominately papyrus marsh and are home to many crocodiles, hippo, sitatunga, and lechwe, along with some elephant and buffalo. The Kwando and Linyanti Rivers form the region's border with Namibia. The Kwando River flows southeast and then meets the end of the Great Rift Valley. This causes the river to flow northeast, and at this point it's name changes to the Linyanti River, and later it's name changes again to the Chobe River, which eventually meets the Zambezi River. Sehlabathebe National Park Sehlabathebe has the highest sandstone formations (in¬cluding arches) in southern Africa. This park, situated on a high Plateau with small lakes, offers tremendous views of the teaunsberg Mountains and Natal. Sehlabathebe means "Pla-teau of the Shield" and has an average altitude of over 8000 feet 24400 m)- Three peaks, called "The Three Bushmen" (Baroa- Bararo), dominate the skyline. This small 25-square-mile (65 km2) fenced park has oribi, eland, reedbuck, wildebeest, baboons, and abundant birdlife, including the rare lammergeyer.
