Cousin Island Cousin Island, Located Two Miles (3 Km) From Praslin, Was Bought By The International Council For Bird Preservation With Assistance From The World Wildlife Fund To Establish A Bird Sanctuary, Primarily To Protect Endangered Species, Including The Seychelles Foddy And Seychelles Brush Warbler. In April And May, Thousands Of Sea Birds Can Be Seen Nesting On The Island. The Island Can Only Be Visited On Tuesdays, Thursdays And Fridays, With Groups Limited To 20 Persons
Lochinvar National Park
Lochinvar National Park Lochinvar is a bird watcher's paradise with over 400 species recorded. In addition, the park is host to about 30,000 Kafue lechwe (their stronghold), 2000 blue wildebeest, and 700 zebra. Greater kudu, bushbuck, oribi, hippo, side-striped jackal, reedbuck and common waterbuck are also present. Kafue lechwe are unique to the Kafue Flats and are related to the red lechwe of the Busanga Swamps of Kafue National Park. Liuwa Plain National Park Located in southwestern Zambia, this remote 1413-square-mile (3660 km2) park of open plains contains large numbers of wildebeest along with lion, hyena and spectacular numbers of migrating birds. Wildlife, however, should be considered a plus and not the main reason for traveling to this seldom-visited park, which is more suited for bird watchers and for those looking to travel in a remote wilderness area and to meet Africans who have had little contact with tourists. Ruvubu National Park (Parc National De La Ruvubu) Ruvubu National Park is 193 square miles (500 km2) in size and covers a strip of land from one to six miles (1.5-10 km) wide along both sides of the Ruvubu River in eastern Burundi.
